
Blü Egyptian
In the last few years, Blü Egyptian has been making a name for themselves on the road throughout the West, illuminating dancefloors with wild jubilation. Based in Chico, CA in Northern California, the band met in pop band at high school and started the band in 2020. Since then, Blü Egyptian has released three studio albums, multiple singles and live recordings showcasing original songwriting and improvisation. With nonstop touring, the band has honed a distinct sound interwining Rock, Funk, Latin, Reggae, Bluegrass, Jazz, EDM and World Music demonstrating their influences from Paul Simon, Talking Heads, Santana, Primus, Phish and Grateful Dead for an energetic spontaneous live experience.
In April, the band released a live compilation album “Live 2024” from their fall tour and are dropping singles all summer recorded by recording arts students at Butte College and Chico State.
The band still in their early 20’s continue to push themselves to create their own sound. Brace yourself for the ever-evolving experience known as Blü Egyptian.
Blü Egyptian has supported national touring acts such as Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Mother Hips, Dogs in a Pile, Pink Talking Fish, Dizgo, Thumpasaurus, Toubab Krewe and Magic Beans at venues like Crystal Bay Casino, Felton Music Hall, Lost on Main Chico and Auburn Odd Fellows Hall. They have created a buzz in the jamband scene by renegading at festivals like High Sierra Music Festival and Hangtown Music Festival and playing at Hog Farm Hideaway, Golden Road Gathering, Redwood Mountain Faire, Ain't Necessarily Dead Fest, Grateful Festival in Flagstaff, Oregon Country Fair, Cascade Equinox in Bend, Gambler’s Run in N. Lake Tahoe, Reverbia Camp at Burning Man and many other festivals on the West Coast. They have performed to large audiences at many summer concerts in Lake Tahoe including Music in the Park in Truckee and Music on the Beach in Kings Beach, also Rhythm on the River in West Sacramento, Lazy 5 Summer Concerts in Sparks, NV and Point Richmond Summer Concerts in the Bay Area.
